The naming of this new digital campaign for Avelo was apt on a number of levels, especially in the digital sense; representing the ‘next generation’ of responsive websites, which automatically adapt themselves to best fit the device they are being viewed on. As Lead Web Developer at Factor 3, I designed and developed this microsite within a tight two week timeframe.
The microsite promotes the benefits of Avelo’s new Annuities service, so it was important that the site be easily accessible on the plethora of mobile and desktop devices now being used to browse the Internet. Impact and engagement is further enhanced by a hero video, which is implemented with Video.js, allowing the website to deliver a standardised HTML5-based video player to modern browsers and a Flash-based fallback for older browsers, thereby maximising the potential audience for the presentation.
